About

I take care of the writing and editing so you don't have to

On the hunt for juicy, flavor-packed food, lifestyle, and travel copy and content that can make your business money?

Are you craving words that read like they were written by your bestie and not a robot? Tailored to your millennial and Gen Z audience so you can see your reach increase, traffic spike, and readers convert to a loyal following, and best yet, customers?

Oh hey there, let’s get this bread!

Trained journalist

I’m a professional freelance writer and editor with 10+ years of journalism experience. That means if you want writing that is well-researched, factual, involves interviews, and tells a story, I’m your gal.

I worked for Coconuts Media, a regional publisher in Asia, for nearly nine years in a number of roles, including: Bali Managing Editor, Travel Editor, Audience Development Manager, and Senior Brand Editor.

In that time, I mainly covered food, lifestyle, travel, and local news around Southeast Asia, but in my most recent role at Coconuts, I transitioned to the “dark side” aka advertising where I headed the writing department at Grove, the publisher’s in-brand studio. While there, I leveraged my background in journalism and social media to help brands conceptualize campaigns and reach their target audience through impactful content.

Now I’m a free agent and get to bring my expertise to projects that I’m passionate about.

When not writing and editing killer copy and content for clients, Julianne spends her days surfing the world-class breaks of Indonesia where she lives with her partner and three adopted Bali dogs.

She originally hails from Colorado and studied Law & Policy and International Studies at Dickinson College in the quaint little town of Carlisle, PA.

Julianne’s held a number of editorial roles in her career, but she discovered her passion for telling true stories way back in her school days. She was the news editor of her high school paper and went on to become the editor-in-chief of The Dickinsonian, her college campus newspaper. The rest is history.
